Community bike repair school and workshop

General workshop: bring your bike, learn how to perform a safety check and identify wear and defects. Repair the problems we identify during inspection. This workshop is good if you want to get your bike working again after not having used it for a while or for bikes in regular use which develop technical faults. If your gears are not behaving, your brakes feel spongy, you hear strange clicks or noises while riding or you just want to master roadside getaway skills like puncture repair. There's something for everybody in these workshops.

In addition to our surgery workshops we also offer workshops which develop technical skills in specific tasks such as gear and drivetrain servicing, hub servicing, wheel truing, wheel building and winterising. If this is something you'd like to try then just drop us a line.

Most workshops take place on a Saturday morning between 9:30am and 12:30pm at our workshop but we do also run evening workshops during the summer. See below for details. 

Please note it is necessary to book a place. A workshop will only take place if a minimum number of 5 participants is reached - feel free to post and share these dates through social media.

We are happy to organise women-only, young peoples' workshops or workshops for those with reduced mobility.

We stand in solidarity with those in precarious social and economic circumstances. Making our workshops accessible to the unemployed, refugees and young people is front and centre of what we do.
